The job
Traffic control is the difference between a work zone that is safe and one that is not. You are the person drivers see first and the person the crew depends on. It is outdoor work, in all weather, around live traffic — and it is regulated work, which means it is done to a documented standard every shift.

For high-risk traffic control, WorkSafeBC requires traffic control persons to be trained to its standards. If you are not certified yet, tell us — certification is available and we would rather hear from you than not.
Only a short list of providers is approved by WorkSafeBC to deliver that training: the BC Construction Safety Alliance, BeeSafe, and Universal Health and Safety Inc. Certification from anywhere else does not satisfy an employer's obligation under the regulation.
We run crews across British Columbia, including Lower Mainland, Victoria, Vernon, Kelowna, Prince George. Tell us where you are based and what you can travel to.
Both. Traffic control follows the work, and a lot of higher-volume road work is scheduled overnight or on weekends because that is when closures get approved.
