What we respond to
How a callout runs
Dispatch is staffed 24/7. When a call comes in we confirm the location, the hazard, and who else is on scene, then mobilize the closest available crew with the devices that situation needs.
Emergency work is still regulated work. Setups follow the same WorkSafeBC standards as planned jobs, and the site is documented the same way — an unplanned closure is not an excuse for an undocumented one.
Frequently asked
Dispatch is staffed 24/7. Average response in metro BC is under two hours; timelines outside metro depend on distance.
Yes. On incident scenes we coordinate with police, fire, and the utilities or contractors already working the site.
Emergency work is generally treated differently from planned work, but the municipality still needs to be notified and the closure documented. We can handle that side of it.
Yes. Dispatch runs 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
